Children's Parties

We regret that we are no longer able to accept party bookings. The committee are unavailable to supervise them, and consequently the centre has not been looked after as we would expect. Please accept our apologies for the inconvenience.

If you are planning a party for children up to the age of 12, and you would like to arrange your own entertainment and catering, then we can provide the space.

The Combined Hall is the ideal place to hold your event:
  • There's plenty of space for children to enjoy themselves
  • Times are available between 8am and 6pm
  • Very competitive room hire rates
  • £5million Indemnity insurance is included in the hire charge (via Trafford Council)
  • Free time to set up before your party and to clear away afterwards
  • Free use of the kitchen
Many people like to place a few tables at one end of the hall to serve buffet food, but larger groups have sometimes hired the Annexe for this purpose so they have more space in the hall for party games etc. The Annexe can be hired for an additional fee.

You are welcome to use the kitchen during your party. The oven and stove can be used for warming food if required and there is also a fridge available. If you require hot/warm drinks for adults, there is a water boiler on the wall or a normal kettle.

If you need a caterer or a cake, perhaps you could try one of these:

If it's a professional entertainer you need, here are some ideas based on feedback from previous party organisers:

Many people like to organise their own entertainment such as traditional party games like Pass the Parcel, Musical Chairs/Statues, Simon Says and, to calm them down at the end, Sleeping Lions. Organising you own games can certainly keep the cost of your event down whilst the children have just as much fun.

For children under 5 years of age, you could consider hiring some play equipment which can provide the children with a new and exciting experience:

We regret we are unable to allow inflatables and bouncy castles in the centre.
